About
I began painting minis in the early 90s, maybe even very late 80s. I got my start mainly because I really liked the little diecast metal figures that came with the Star Wars Micro Collection, but hated the completely bland factory paint jobs. I figured I could do better. And when I discovered the West End Games 25mm Star Wars line, I was off and running. Over the years since I've dabbled in larger scales, but tend to stick to the 28-30mm scale generally. And although I also did a lot of fantasy pieces as a kid, I now tend to stick mainly with sci-fi pieces, especially Star Wars, and some period pieces from medieval Japan. Of course sometimes I find a really cool mini outside those general areas, and it's all the more exciting to explore.
