Christmas Gift Foal Ornament

This is a breyer stablemate foal that came unpainted and with a ring in its back in a set of 3 for children to make ornaments of. I have painted one of the others and my wife kept the 3rd unpainted as part of a collection. I also painted another horse and put a screw in its back to make an ornament. It's now a tradtion that I give her one of these for Christmas. This was last year's Christmas gift. She asked for Trompe L'Oile and this is my first attempt at it. I tried to make it look like the foal was wearing red ribons that had gotten twisted around its legs and a gold metallic ribon around its middle. I learned a lot about shading white on this fella. I hope you like, and check my gallery out for the other ornaments (or just search for "ornament"). Please leave comments and feedback - maybe even suggestions for this Christmas' horse.

Wonderful job on the ribbons, I didn't realize they weren't a part of the sculpt until reading your blurb!
