Dwarf Dungeoneer 2

Better angle of the hand-sculpted base... Not so happy with it. The flagstone pattern just doesn't seem realistic to me, the mini is not perpendicular to the flagstone layout, and the moss in the cracks isn't very realistic. But hey, it was my first time ever sculpting *anything*, and my first sculpted base. And I'm still fighting with the digi to properly display the colours... the pic lacks the OOMPH that the colours have in real life... Any tips?

I agree with Rift. But ... I also agree with airhead.

Your pic is too dark... set the exposure to about 1/4 to 1/2 second (got to use a tripod). For the moss, try some garnet gel (fine) - this is basicly fine sand in clear acrylic media. (Golden, Windsor & Newton, both make it as well as others)
