Atlantik Wall PaK43 Bunker

This is an entirely scratch built Atlantik Wall PaK43 Bunker for 28mm gaming. It was built for an exhibition wargame in Scotland, UK. It recreates an actual Pak43 bunker from Omaha beach - but in this case it has been changed by adding a flakverling position on the bunker roof. It has also been "transposed" to being in Holland which is where the exhibition game is set. The bunker is scratchbuilt from Styrofoam and resin and includes fill interior details including two steel reinforced doorways and internal security point. The interior also has scale authentic film and beer posters and the exterior of the wall has authentic Nazi Propaganda poster in Dutch (for the game setting). Camouflage hoops and other metal items have all been rusted (with rust) and the various drain stains are created with weathering powders. Vehicle track marks can be seen in the sands adjacent o the bunker – created by using shaded basecoats. The figure in the image is unfortunately a sci-fi figure as we have no 28mm WWII figures to show scale – we are hoping that the exhibitioner will take more images when the flakverling gun and crew are added to the roof mount and the Pak43 anti-tank gun and crew added to the interior. A substantially larger image of the bunker can be seen here: http://www.barrule.com/workshop/images/gallery/WWII/28mm/pak43%20bunker/1.jpg

There's a book titled "Fortress Third Reich" by HE Kaufmann which I just finished reading and this is a PERFECT replica of a PAK bunker. Well done!
