This mini might very well look quite good in reality but two things drag it down.
1. The photo. It is out of focus and it loooks like you have used a flash. Use two normal lamps instead and try focusing the camera on the centre of the model.
2. The base. Unpainted sand/gravel look horrible IMHO. Painting it black and then drybrushing it grey och sand-coloured is quick and easy but really, REALLY helps the mini.
Fixing the base and taking a better photo will probably raise the scores for this one a bit.
