Converted 40K-scale Inquisitor

A heavily converted Ordos Xenos Inquisitor for the Warhammer 40K game. Based on the Fabius Bile model, I spent considerable time just filing off and puttying over the Chaos details. I swapped the weapons for a power sword and plasma pistol (excellent for cracking open power armour), the backpack for Azrael's banner pole backpack, and added numerous Inquisitor bits and a purity seal. The base is one of corrugated metal plasticard. Painting-wise, this could be some of my best blending yet. Rather than layering the shades and highlights, I ended up using a technique called "wet-blending", where I mixed a drying retardant into my paints, lengthening the drying time enough for me to actually blend the colours right on the model! It was damn time-consuming, and not something I would do again unless I was competing in the Golden Demons (this model was my 40K single entry). I pulled out all the stops on this one, and it represents enormous time and effort. Incidentally, this Inquisitor placed in the final cut at the 2002 Canadian Golden Demons.

This is really an exceptional piece. Especially given the scale--half the size and better than most inquisitor scale pieces.

Yep, the tournament on the island is the one.... Now thast you mention it...wasn't the base different? as well as the trenchcoat being orange and a more basic plasma pistol?

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Oh, and Dathek, if you're referrring to the RTT on the island at the time of the Olympic hockey game, then yes, that was the one, only I pretty much redid almost everything on the model since then.
