I have just bought these figures, and they are absolutely fantastic, the love and care put into painting them is immense, and although I will be matt varnishing them they are indeed not as shiny as the photo suggests. A true artist.

i know. i've been painting for 20 years now, in that time i've won at GD and painted for the studio. i choose to use satin varnish on my own gaming models, as it protects them and i myself like the look it gives. please, can people respect that choice and refrain from critisizing me for it. comments about the painting are appreciated, but i do not plan to change how i varnish. additionaly, please bear in mind that i don't use dullcoat, i think it's to cloudy, so for my display models i only use thin coats of paint on varnish, if i use any. thank you all.

well sorry, but i was just trying to make a point. Try and matt varnish instead, or as MarcusTay said varnish after the photo. I just thought that you had ruined a really well painted model by making it shine too much, thats all.
