I gave it a 9 because it's really a strong 8.5. I'm not sure if it's the photography, but in answer to Ludicrous's question, I think the score isn't higher because it lacks depth. The Artisan has done really well with this figure and perhaps the reason it is so bright, almost neon bright at points, is that he's trying to reflect the larger than life, ethereal nature of an elven hero. It really is a great figure, but the depth is inconsistant. The skin tones are nice, as is the leather (?) surcoat and undershirt, but they all lack the subtle depth that the kilt and mantle (barely) have. It is the only thing that keep the figure looking static. Still, this is a very fine job, one that I would be proud to have done or to own even. The lucky buyer will have a VERY fine piece to add to their collection.

flawless to me! Highlighting & Shading is extremely well done as is the skin tone and
nmm. Even the base is above average!
