This is my entry for a local painting competition. What do you think? I think the yellows came out very nice. aaron

I'd give this an 8.7. To answer your request for critique; Subtle shading such as the left boot (from front) shows thorough understanding of lighting and it is my favorite part of the model, truly outstanding. I feel somehow some other parts of the model took a different turn. The shoulderpads for instance are edge-hilighted, but you clearly have the skills to hilight the realistic way, top of surfaces aiming at the light source should be brighter, and darker as you move down. The hammer looks nice and shiny, but for a little more realism, the top surfaces are aiming upwards and should not show the horison line, just the sky. Te enhance the overall look, I'd suggest taking the red hilights a little further into blood red. THe inside of the cape is great, I feel teh backside should bi similarly contrasted with bright folds and the dark crevisses. The pillar base has interesting shades and It's a succes sin my opinion, not an easy effect to pull off but you did it. Overall, very solid job, something to be proud! Keep at it! :)
