The base ring is bubonic brown to contrast with the ganming table and to match all of my 150 or so other space marines. See the other pictures that I have posted on this site.

would of gave you a 9 if the ring of the base was brown or even green(yellowish does'nt make the base look good but the rocks on the base WOW!)
