I had a lot of trouble keeping the paint on the raised rivets as I worked, so I ended up lacquering the entire model once done. It stands out from most of my matte models (I seldom seal them at all) and looks suitably metallic and shiny.
The all-gloss finish is troublesome, and leads to bad photos IMO. It might be better to matt coat it, and then pick out certain details with a brush and gloss coat. Candy apple? LOL!
