Saint Celestine

Originally painted to sell because I thought the miniature was really well sculpted and would move quickly, but she's grown on me so I think I'll keep her. I'll probably start up a Witch Hunters army around her. Painting Guide: Gold is GW Shining Gold with a horizontal line of GW Brown Ink across the middle, GW Chestnut Wash below that, and GW Burnished Gold above. The silver parts are GW Boltgun Metal with a horizontal line of GW Black Ink and GW Mithril Silver highlight above that. Flesh is Plaid Flesh and hair is Plaid Yellow; both have a thinned down GW Chestunut Wash. Red cloth is 50/50 Plaid Maroon and Plaid Black, Plaid Maroon, and highlighted with Plaid Cardinal Crimson. White cloth is Plaid Sandstone with GW Brown Ink to darken the recesses. Detail on the cloth is done with a GW Brown Ink. Feathers and flowers are Palid White with a wash of Plaid Military Blue. Everything is sealed with Krylon Matte Finish Sealer. Comments: The intent was to have an environmental reflection (bright sky top half with a darker earth lower half) on the armor. It turned out fairly well. I tried the same effect on silver armor but I haven't gotten that to look as good.
