Giant Troll in Armor or Armored Troll Giant

The elf spearman is there to indicate size. Unfortunately the picture with the spearman in it didn't come out well so I cut it out and pasted it in. Wow you say, how did you get the sword so shiny? Lego! That's right, it's a lego toy sword. Some may think it's dumb, but it's my mini and I like it :) This guy represents a few firsts for me. It is my first attempt at real blending. I think the back came out better than the front. It is my first attempt at a GW style jewel. I think I should have used darker purples than I did for the shirt. It is the first time I sculpted any element of a figure - the handle of the sword wouldn't fit so I cut it out and made one out of green stuff. Any comments are welcome. I'm always looking to improve.

I give it a "6" for that whole Dr Who villian feel....The blending is good, I really like the jewel in the pommel of the sword, even if the sword still looks toy-like. Maybe dirty up the sword next time?

I'm sticking with my story that it's Ral Partha. Just because there is no marking on the base doesn't mean there never was one. The bases were always so rough back then I routinely filed them smoothe and sometimes lost the markings. I think there was something there originally but I filed it off so he wouldn't fall over.
