Warmachine Deathwalker

I loved this model so much that she was the first I painted in my Cryx army. She came out very clean looking when I first finished her, so I dirtied her up to make her look recently "risen". This was the first figure I made a major effort at basing. The tombstone is greenstuff, and the skull was taken off a Reaper skeleton.

Your work looks nice, but I can't really give a higher rating without a better photo to look at your detail work better.

It is possible with Dullcoat to get a glossy finish if you didn't shake up the can enough. I've had it happen several times. Macrophotography is tough, I don't care what anyone says!! The mini is moody and kind of creepy, which works great. I think the 'mood' would be enhanced by drabbing up the greenery though.

She definitely looks undead. Neat base add-ons. We use Testor's Dullcote too, and we don't get that sheen. Maybe Jim holds the can further away. Hmm. As for the Macro setting, we're still experimenting too, but I've found that if you zoom out you can hold the camera closer and it will focus better than if it's zoomed in. Also, if camera is held further away you can zoom in a bit. Usually the pic is so big you don't have to fill the screen with it. You can always crop it down in Photoshop or some other picture software. I hope this helps.
