The Fort on Snowy River

Constructed from various of our own pieces and some of the new modular resin-cast castle building system coming from us this summer. Basswood, balsa, lime, pine bark, deep water gel, hairy grass, mirliton & Freebooter scenic sccessories, our own weathering powders, pin heads, WS water effects and various other bits n pieces. THis was a demo model fo a 2-day wargaming show in the UK and will be up on auction soon - the piece can be dismantled into 17 or so pieces for (easy) transportation with all decking, planking, central support beams and the resin-cast walls being removeable (until the final user glues them all down if they so desire). An original design by us and great fun to make and show. Really enjoyable piece 12x12 inches base size with the wall 7 inches tall from base to top of crenelations.

The white water was done by squeezing down irregular lines of WS Water effects, letting it partially dry and then *picking* every ripple with a cocktail stick to make it into a peak pointing in one direction - then left to dry for 48 hours and dry brushed up.

I love the white-water in the river, how the hell did you do that?
