Mystery Mini 9

My hat off to the first person who properly identifies this old mini. Bonus points to anyone who can tell me what he's doing and why it's not appropriate on a medieval figure. As to the paint job, I did this about 15 years ago with Testor Enamel paint, straight from the jar, with a plastic brush. I painted the eyes with a metal pin stuck in paint. His original sword kept breaking off so I cut a pin in half and puttied it in. He looks better and is far more dangerous. Doesn't make up for the paint job though. ;)

As someone who also painted 15 years ago, and knows what you had to paint with back then... I think you did a great job with the tools of the trade at the time :o)

All right, maybe I was being too demanding. This was the "ranger" from the Grenadier "specialists" box set. The problem with what he's doing is that he's doing the "Russian Lunge" which was developed in a modern olympics and therefor has no place on a medieval style mini. This picture will be gone soon.

his right arm is very thick, or is it just the clothes? if it's not the fencing that is ta problemo, then I cant tell what is the problem. isn't his sword very sharp? funny it's not cowered with blood (real blood) after all these years (>_O)
