Warmachine Skarlock
An early attempt of mine at "real" painting, done about six months ago.The magical effect is supposed to be shiney, but the silver spot is a reflection of the overhead light. I must of taken fifty pics, and this unfortunately was the best of them (I gotta read the instructions to my camera again, I don't know how to play with the Macro settings). I've lost most of the highlights on the bronze parts, and the red looks washed out as well. This is the only mini I've done in the last year that I didn't bother to base, because there is almost no base showing. I'm thinking about maybe painting some swirls in the purple, but for now it's good enough for gaming.
