Eureka Seamus O'Toole

Supposed to be for a London Victoriana thing I may run later - Until I noticed the 6-shooters! whoops . . . ah well . . . (Apart from hunting, I don't think they let civilians carry firearms of any kind in England do they?) Questions and comments are welcome . . .

As I understand it... London ( and any large UK ciity for that matter ) were very dangerous places. There were various names for the type of method the mugger used to murder his victims. A "topper" whacked em over the head with a blunt instrument. Anyhow. This was one of the reasons carrying a walking stick was common. It was also pretty common to carry a small pistol, AKA known as a "pocket gun" if you were walking anywhere could be rough. Carried as it's name suggests. 1870 is indeed surprisingly late for murder by gun. I'd be very surprised if nobody was shot to death c17th.

I think he's a solid piece. Again, I believe the eye is a bit off. Wonderful warm browns though, and a nice period bit to go in a Victorian or 'gaslight' type setting. I wonder about Vince's comment though...seems odd for the first gun murder to have occurred so late...not arguing, just amazed. :)
