The one on the left was the first one I did in the first regiment of orcs I bought. The one in the middle was the last of that same regiment (just to show you that it goes fast in the beginning if you try). The one on the right is one I just did to show off. I spent app 1 hour on him - not too shabby eh? That's how it goes if you try a bit and don't get daunted by your results (I mean, the one on the left SUCKS massively :D ) Add on: By the way, which mini do you rate? I find it weird that the one on the right should be a 5.8 :P It is after all that one which shows how some skill. The point with this image to show those new to the hobby that we've all started somewhere. It's took this pic to encourage people to paint more, not really to get it rated...

When I get frustrated in my painting ability, I like to pull out some of my early attempts (if I haven't 'pine-sol' dipped them). This is an excellent example of something like that. If I had to rate them individually, left to right 3,5,9. If your skill level keeps going at this rate, we will have to start rating higher than 10!

Idd, DW. Sometimes the ratings are really low here on CMON. but even if you posted the right ork on itself, they would have given something like this. You can do a really great paintjob on a soldier, but it won't interest people. They want to see important, converted minis with wicked paintjobs before they give it a 8-9. That's just the way it is I guess :). But the pic really shows you've progresses a big big big biiiiig deal, really nick ork :)
