Lord of the Rings Ringwraith on Fell Beast Nazgul
This is my Ringwraith riding on a Fell Beast! This miniature is really big and I spended a lot of time painting it the way I wanted (and used a lot of color :-) ). I didn`t follow the Games Workshop scheme exactly, I thought the wings should be more remarkably, because they are really beutiful shaped and are really big ! So they should take the attention, but the body should be remarkably, too. So I decided to highlight the muscles of the beast stronger (not the flat Gw color scheme), so the body stands out against the wings. I think the harmony is in balance. The ringwraith is of course black and grey, with weathered clothes, I painted Frodo, too, it is sooo tiny.... perhaps I will post some pictures of him, too... :-) The hard highlight in the wings brown area are intention, because they shows the folds, when the Beast is folding its wings together.. I thought this would make it more realistic, but I am very sorry, that the pictures don`t show it the way it is in reality, it looks really good on it ! the picture on the left side is taken with a flash, the one on the right side is taken without the flash. I hope you like the Fell Beast and of course the paint-job :-)
