Female Warforged Green

The Eberron Campaign Setting in D&D introduced the Warforged. However, as a construct race, they all have the same build, male. After a bit of discussion, a friend of mine drew the attatched illustration of what a female WF might look like. I liked it so much, I built a D&D character around it. Problem is, there would NEVER be a mini that came even close to being a female WF. So, since I've been doing minor conversions with greenstuff for a while now, I decided I'd just try my hand at sculpting one from scratch. Superglued together an armature from paperclip wire, and got started. This was the end result. Not the best green thats ever been sculpted, but I like to think its not bad for a first try. I must say though, after this experience, I have newfound respect for anyone that can sculpt a recognizable human face on something this small, I really do. Anywho, I'll paint it up a little later and see how it turns out when it's finished. But, I've just bought a soldering iron and wire, and built a few armatures, so I'll be making another one of these here sometime soon, using what I've learned from this attempt. But please, if anyone has comments on how to make this better, leave a comment.

I'm actually working on another one thats much closer to the image. Got about 60% of it done, but stuff happened. I should be able to get it finished in a couple of days.

It's pretty much as cereal says, not bad for a first try. I'm guessing from your drawing that you will become a good sculptor after a while. As to tips, at this point I could give many but I think it's best to concentrate on a few things per attempt. I would concetrate on getting the face right (tough, I know) and the proportions. Not just the body proportiosn but all. What can help is if you draw the figure at the right size so you get a feel for how big everyting is. Then makes sure you don't try to use more putty on each location as is needed for that part. Compare the clothing to what is in the drawing. You're using much more space. By the way, do you know the SF assassin model of freebooter? That could give some ideas. Feel free to mail me if you have a question on something.

It's 6.5 ;) I'll try to explain my opinion and my suggestions in non-horrible english...let me find the dictionary and cross your finger eheh ;) the proportions and the likeness with the sketch seems good...But you have to smooth better gs (try to lick your tools ;) ) For the cables I suggeste to divde your gs's rolls in smaller rolls with your hobby knife Not bad for your first attempt, keep on...I want to see the next one soon ;) I hope that my english was comprehensible ;) Bye
