Beast Herd
No longer work in progress, some older OOP C Series Gors having joined the ranks of the Ungors and where possible, all these Gors have a second hand weapon. For those minis where I could not add the weapon directly into a hand, tentacle or similar, they have them in scabbards slung across their backs, many of the new plastic weapons being too big to convincingly hang from a belt. One further advantage of the GW ‘Classic Nurgling’ Ungors, is that on 25mm bases, when not with their bigger brothers, they can be fielded as Plague Bearers, with a few more of their number without spears and some actual Plague Bearer minis added to swell the ranks, it saves both time and money, as well as forming two unique units. The only downside, is you cannot field both at the same time…….. My favourite mini though, is the mounted kettle drummer, made from an OOP C Series ‘Horse Man’, with another OOP mini, this time a 1990’s Snotling with 2 clubs as the Drummer. The Drums themselves were made from two pieces of the Plastic Skeleton Drum, cut away and slightly re-shaped where they were joined, not too difficult a task though, provided you use a sharp knife as files tend to make the plastic surface a bit rough I find. Lastly, the Standard is from the Beastherd Plastic boxed set, again cut down a bit to fit the hand of the C Series ‘Slug Man’ mini, they just don’t make ‘em like that anymore, must be the excess of salt in our diets! I would love to know what you think, Kindest Regards, The Right Honourable Mr Nameless Esquire
