Karl Franz on War Griffon

Hi Everyone. This mini was painted approximately 5 years ago when I first took up the hobby. I have recently returned after a long period of absence and was hoping to use a few of my older miniatures to gain constructive criticism to improve my painting in future. This miniature has taken a beating over the years and as a result has quite a few chips. Furthermore the original standard was a lead pole which has been bent (thanks to my mother's dusting) and ripped the banner in the process. I have replaced the original pole with a brass rod and now the repair work begins on the standard. I'll repost once it's finished. As for the base, the less said the better :) Thanks, Afro

More shading/blacklining. This will give more depth to the miniature. E.g. Around the eye, around the teeth around the claws. Then try less colors. The old colorfull GW style was never really stylish. And then I would give him a more impressive base, e.g. some rocks and a slayed Skaven.
