Tir Na Bor, Bombardier

This guy is the first of my Tir Na Bor army that i will post. I actually never play so the whole lot will be going on eBay! These two mental dwarf engineers were great fun too paint, loaded with character and quirky details. One of the things i like most is the little mushroom shaped cover on the exhaust pipe of the boiler. I think i dropped this model and bent it before painting them but the curve in it seems to work. Not being a fan of NMM i went against the grain for Rackham and used TM. Incorporating three different and distinct flavours of metalics. I think the nicest bit is the boiler isself which you can't see. The cross mounted cylinder is Beaten Copper with Mithral mixed in to high light and chestnut ink to shade, the barrels is normal metalics, GW style, and the boiler is Brazen Brass, with Mithral highlights and brown ink shading. I also wanted a bit of colour, hence the splashes of red and the orange beard on the one in front. His overall is a very denimy blue which unfortunately also can't be seen. I will try and do another picture with some of the details of the other side visable.

The best of your recent posts, the only word i can say is contrast... so you need more blacklining and brighter highlights... But still, really very good! -Peter
