My first mini on CMON! :) This is Krom and he is the first painted model of my new Ogre Army. As you can see i went for the basic GW skin tone (I know some of you don't like it) and it actually turned out better than i thought it would, it's more darker than GW scheme and im pretty pleased with it. I also like the rust effect, it one of those techniques were it isn't complicated yet looks really impressive. I don't like his base, but to be honest i just wanted him done, so im hoping the base grows on me. I also plan to put static grass on his base once he is vanished. Comments are very welcome. But no hate mail. Okay, maybe a little hate mail :)

Congrats on your first post, which is rather nice. Great facial expression and really good work on the rust too.

I too am painting Ogres and am doing them the same style as GW and they do actually look good, I love the face on this one of yours. I would suggest when you do the banding to paint it Bleached bone and then wash it over with thinned down Snake Bite Leather and then highlight up again. Still for your firs post a very nice mini welcome to Cmon.

Thanks for the comments! To be honest this is hardly a great picture, but im new to the whole digital photo aspect. When i get the hang of my digital camera im going to have a better angle of the minature and im hoping to get a background so people are not distratced by my paints and unassembled Ogres in the background! :)
