Your extensive comments are very good, and I appreciate the time you take to give such great advice. We could use more people like you :)
The sword looks great! A reasonable amount of contrast and a good first try on NMM. The runes(?) are neatly picked out and the really contrasted highlights makes them jump at you. The boots seem nice could perhaps use one more highlightstep. The trousers could also use some more contrast. The cloak is a bit more problematic. The basecolour draws a bit into purple while the highlights go into orange. It could be a camera problem.. but in my experience the camera picks out a problem that is there and enhances it. So make sure you always mix your colours under daylight-bulbs or similar.. and take the pictures with lighting of the same colourtemperature. The cloak has some big areas that could use more shading/highlighting also. The face needs more contrast with shading around the eyes to pick them out. The irises of the eyes should be larger also. One aspect of the face that is really good is that you added eyebrows.. they give the face more character. Overall this model could use some more contrast but there are areas that shows great promise.
