Hi! This is Mannfred von Carstein, one of my better painted miniatures. I especially like the effects on the barding and ebony staff, oranges and reds painted over black bacground seem to look very nicely on the "prince of undeath". The face has been painted in pale purple to show the carnation of the vampire as well as to contrast with the white colour of his nobleman`s shirt. I also like the crest on horse`s head, painted in green making it look like taken from some kind of deamon bird or oriental bird. While painting I tried to give this model a "thick ambience of darkness".
