Captain of the cards

This was my entry for the Frothers unite Alice in Wonderland competition. It's based on the soldiers of the queen which were playing cards. The figure looks thin but that's an illusion created by sharp edges and the bends which hide the actual thickness. It's thick enough to be cast and while it did not win first price it will be included in the second set of Alice in Wonderland figures. The material used is a green stuff/brown stuff mix (for the stiffness) on a wire/mesh armature. This is not actually the finished figure. I refined a few bits and added details to the sword but totally forgot to take a picture before sending it to the caster. :(

I was pretty sure I had commented this one...Mmmm...Censored again?;) Well I like it a lot and if I hadn't been so lazy this one would have been the character I'd have tried.I really like movement and the clean details especially the chainmail which I have nightmares about:D

Thanks. I would love to see it painted too. It will be sold through Frother's unite and I'm looking forward to seeing what people will do with it. While it's originally a playing card, you can basicly paint anything on it. Like a slogan or a Magic card.

Great job Ming. This miniature looks like it would be a lot of fun to paint.
