Veteran Sergeant & Marine with meltagun

These are from my command squad. As you can see, highlighting is difficult for me. Since I don't have too much of a steady hand. Any suggestions on how I could improve them? All helpful advice & comments gratefully received.

I would probaly practice my highlighing with something other than black, I find with black you have to be a bit more precise, space marines also make it a bit more difficult. I've recently done some Legion of the damned and for the back I used chaos black with a tiny bit of shadow grey, then A 50/50 mix to highlight, then shadow grey on the sharper areas, thats worked ok. Goodluck and just keep praticing.

For your highlights I'd sugest using thinner paints and a darker shade of blue and lighten it as you go towards the border of the armour. Do the same for every part of the mini and it should improve greatly. I think the metallics could also benefit from a wash of black ink and carfully rehighlight them. To keep your hand steady try and rest your wrists on the table it should help, and relax don't stress everytime you need to do some feedely work as this is the best way to shake. And practicing is the best way to improve :D Good luck.
