If you paint the highlights onto the armor - and then dullcote the whole figure it will probably look better. I don't think shiny reflection looks good on miniatures of this scale.
OK, I have looked the piece over in minute detail, and there are no "unpainted hot spots"; this must be a trick of the light. The way I did this piece, i sprayed the entire thing with Krylon #1311 Matte Spray Sealer, then I used Testors Dullcote Brush-On over the cloth bits and Reaper's brush on Glkoss Finisf for the metal. That is why it looks so shiny; it represents polished metal, and the light may make it seen as though there are unpainted hot spots on raised details.
