Verona

This is the Sol (Elfin) figure. I used testors and Humbrol enamels and an airbush to paint the skin tones and brush detailed all the rest, except for the cast metal sword, which was polished with carborundum and fine steel wool before being coated with johnsons keer and later having the blood painted on. The base is a Piece of model railway scenery painted for stone tiles. I mostly do figures by way of variety as I'm mostly a aircraft (world war 2) modeler by chioce. Photos are by myself.

Blod Til Blodguden
Very nice. This deserves much more than the current 7.4 score.

You have done a nice job here. I would like to see more detail (stack the pics vertical instead of horizontal) and more lighting but the dramatic shadows give it a dungeon crawl feel.

About the base - that's force of habit for you - IPMS rules here in NZ make a base a diorama if there is too much "extra" on it, I happen to agree, if you place too much on the base, it begins to detract attention from the Subject- the figure itself. For my part the tiles and the blood splatter tied the base directly to the figure and no more. And thats all it had to do.
