Warduke

This was a commission for a client who is a fan of the original D&D cartoon show. When Dungeon magazine published rules for the character of Warduke in their "Critical Threats" column, he wanted to get a mini to represent him in the game. My instructions were to "go wild." I used a metallic glazing technique on the armor, highlighting it with a mix of red and brown ink to suggest blood on the armor, and used the same ink on the base. The blood dripping from the sword is pencil lead and white glue, and I used a powdered limestone snow material for the base. The model is on a reaper battle base, and has a magnet on the bottom for transport.

It looks like the cheap ice-snow we get here in Georgia. As finn said, there are many kinds of snow. I don't think the blood soaked snow looks so great. It's a bit too orange. I think the sheild and the belt buckle look very good. And the armor looks good. Around the face, however, the details seem obsucred. Nice job overall. Good snow.

The shield skull is very cool. I love the look of the armor.
