probably my best fig to date, and my first CMON submission i've been meaning to add a trim to the cloak, but keep getting distracted. anyways, let me know how good it actually is

Very nice! One of my favorite posts of this mini. I'm not so sure about highlighting more- it gives a really good contrast and really makes the mini pop. This mini is about celestine, not the cherubs or the cloak, so I would think about maybe even giving the wings on the cherub a darker wash and making it just a frame for her. the closed eyes could use a darkline so that they look closed instead of sockets, and the hair can use more shadows. Lovely mini though- very smooth and crisp :)

heh, fair enough about the background. i've never really though about background before. guess i'll just have start reconsidering how i take my pics. but just as a note: the sword isn't actually meant to be NMM...i'm not entirely sure what i was goind for with the sword. and i applied some (but not all) of the techniques i'd apply for NMM, but it isn't meant to be steel...
