A very nice piece. The only comment I have is that when you look at gold in the light, the point of reflection is very bright...so bright you can't see gold, but white. Just like what mini-goddess said. I'd also say that instead of a broad gradient, try a more defined highlight. I'm just learning NMM as well and I'd say you're off to a very good start.
