A mini I painted quite a while back. The story behind it is that shortly after varnishing it, I realised that I had goofed up the flames on the robe (the colors are backwards ... :P ).
Great finish but I can't help feeling it needs some darker shading in areas so the details stand out a bit more. And as for the flames...It's Chaos...who knows what colour things are in the Eye of Terror ;) Great model though (and one of my favourite Brian Nelson ones too).
Thanks Gereth for your comment. I wouldn't say it's a 9, but you've made it go to 8, so again, thank you. Since the base is table top quality and I didn't do any conversions on it, I'm not expecting it to go any higher, but hey who knows ;)? If I recall correctly, it got third place at a local shop contest back in 1995, or something like that (the first two had done some pretty neat conversions and paint jobs).
I can't see why this is a 7.9! Your model is great, very bright colours and wonderful choice overall ... don't really care about your fire being "inside out" after alll it's your fire!
