Well, here is my latest figure... I wanted to really push myself and try something new... so here is my very first attempt at lighting effects and sculpting (for the base). This is around my 15th miniature.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the lighting effect does not work. It needs to be more subtle, but also more pervasive. Check out Victoria Lambs article and work here on CMON if you haven't already. Other than that great work, especially as your just starting out, practice getting the gradations smoother and maybe slightly more highlighting. 7.5.
(6.5) It's brave of you to try lighting effects so soon in your painting career! The result is somewhat flawed however - the "lighted" areas are too abrupt and inconsistent (not everything that should be red-lighted is). Keep practicing (and scrutinize victoria's work:))
