I think you did pull off the effect you were looking for with the leather, nice job. A couple suggestions: go for a little more shading on the skin and gun. The shiny black leather kind of overrides the rest of the model without some kind of depth. Also, why not paint the gun barrels black at the end? Great base though and nice mini overall.
