I have been working on this guy on and off for about a year now. I was experimenting with drastic transitions between colors. Also this was one of my first attempts at in frame lighting, where the scene is lit from the lantern at his feet. And just for kicks, and kinda my personal touch, theres a bit of a freehanded scarab at the bottom.
