just finished this guy and i think i'm reasonably proud of him (we'll see about that...) i wanted him to look like he was wearing one of the more eccentric items of armor from the magic section, which all happen to be pelts or skins of some kind, so i sculpted a pelt around his shoulders and fastened it with some spikes from the old chaos warrior sprue to the pectoral area of his armor. you cant see it very well but he holds a stolen dark elf horn in his right hand, as i wanted to show the brayhorn that sounds the ambush that every self-respecting beastlord carries. the sword is a hack and glue conversion of a dark elf sword guard, the lower blade of a skaven champion sword (back when regiment sets had pewter command parts) and finally sword from a mordheim beastman. rather than drybrush all the fur, i opted to highlight individual hairs. in retrospect the drybrushing might have looked better but im satisfied with how it came out. (beastmen pelts are always smeared in filth anyways, so i got an excuse :P )
