My first attempts in making Tau-style tents. (They are made using the templates from GW) I would appreciate comments about how to improve them. Links to other Tau-/Kroot-scenery and symbols would be nice as I'm always looking for new inspiration.

I would also consider making them out of another material, maybe a light cloth. Or soaking some tissue paper (the wrapping paper kind, not like toilet paper) in watered down PVA glue and pasting them on to give them some texture. Its a way to get a more cloth like sag. For these, I'd suggest repainted to look like metal, for sci-fi bunkers because of their very defined shape.

Painting them better would go a long way to making them look real. These look like what they are - plasticard or such. Symbols are great, but weathering is necessary, as is more varied basing. Take a look at some tents, especially if you can look up army tents somehow. Lots of weathering, some tears, maybe ropes and stuff.
