Sister Hospitaliter

One of the hench(wo)men of my inquisitor. Done in NMMWM (No-Metal-Metallic-With-Metals) aka painting in NMM-style but add a small amount of silver/gold to the colour. This gives a very nice matt-metal finish and fits an army done with normal metallic.

Just a 7 because of poor pic-quality. But this NMMWM thing is really stunning. I'll try it soon. I watched some of your pics and must say you really improved. Post bigger pictures in the future.

It's the Hospitaliter from the new "Witch Hunter And Retinue"-Box. The technique is really simple (if You've mastered NMM): Just take the colours You would normally use for Your NMM and add a slight amount of silver (for NMM-silver) gold (for NMM-gold). Than paint your colours as You would normally do it. The advantage to normal NMM is, that it fits an army where the metallics are painted the normal way without NMM but also gives the "special" look a special model needs. The metal of the armour should not represent an aged but a browned (a medieval way to give armour a slightly bronzed look by heating it when adding certain chemicals) look.

Very Nice! Can you expand on your technique a bit more?
