this one took over two years to paint. just because i couldn't pick colors. in the end i just bit the bullet and it's not what i wanted but at least it's finished. i used some pastels to make a rust effect on the armoured areas. it looks pretty good but is a bit hard to see in the pic. i just drew on the model with the pastel then pushed around the color on the mini with a stiffish brush. i later found out the if you melt the pastel in a bit of water then add that to Vallejo medium you can make a really nice hull red paint. comment and tips appreciated!

Looks very unique, though the fact that his face looks like it's on fire sorta takes a bit of it away, at least in my opinion.

Nice base, excellent freehand work on the loincloth, very unique color choice on the Avatar's face. Your gems are fantastic, they look like glass. Suggestions: That sword would look 10 times better if it was the same rusty brown as the rest of him, and if the edges were highlighted. It's such a focal point of the sclpture that painting it flat black makes it look like an afterthought. Finally, I think the yellow cracks could use some more orange in them, to add depth. Isn't the Avatar a great mini?
