This is my first posting on cool mini or not and i would appreciate and sort of criticism any of you might have. By the way I have only been painting these miniatures for about 3 months.
Technically speaking those highlights need to be blended a hell of a lot more. However the style you've used really works on this model so I can't fault you for that. I don't even mind the quite wide messy highlights in places. As mentioned, the Crux Terminatus and Sarcophogus pipes aren't up to scratch - it needs deliniation and shading though, not highlighting. I also think bringing gold and red into the Cruz was a mistake, as was the yellow used on the Sarcophogus pipes. I'm gratified to see that as a beginner you've put a decent amount of effort into the base and used a dark, neutral scheme brought to life by the occasional spot of bright colour.
An easy 8 if those small details are fixed.
first of all, i must say i really like this model that you painted. nece work on the gems. Not that I can paint any better but a few criticisms,
1)some of the lightlights seem abit messy, ie: not straight
2) skull on top left side (facing us) and the cross look really weak with respect to the rest of the model. I think more highlighting is needed on it.
3) the wires sticking into his sarcoughagus seem weak as well..
