Commissar Tank Commander

Here is a Forgeworld 40K Tank Commander Commissar (28mm scale so this figure is approximately 15mm). The quality of the detail on this simple half-figure is fantastic; every line was crisply sculpted in this resin casting. Once again Simon Egan has done a brilliant job of sculpting a figure. I’ve seen him at work and what amazes me is that he sculpts one to one. I painted this mostly using Vallejo paints with only the epaulettes being Citadel colours. It took me two half days to do this, and I used the skintone recipe for Vallejo paints that Jen Haley published on her website (http://www.paintrix.com) and in the Coolminiornot Annual, with a couple of minor adjustments to strengthen the shadows. All I need is a great tank to place this figure in now. Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed painting it. Comments as always welcome.
