HAHAH awesome model, reminds me of the aligator character from that Babar cartoon :D
I suggest some brighter hightlights, especially on the hammer and scales. Also try being more smooth with your colors the paint on the belly is a little to 'texturized' for skin. Maybe some yellowing near the roots of the teeth and a more prominant tongue color. Definitely in the right direction.. a good base will ad alot to the is piece :D Make sure to repost when it is complete :)
