I originally did him as a VIC for the local painting club, but only a few people finished the models so I entered him in the local RTT and won a Rogue Demon. I later entered him at Baltimore and Chicago Gamesday. I took Bronze with him at Chicago 2003! It's the standard DE with the staff arm slightly repositioned for a more dynamic pose. The base is sandstone into which I carved the swirls. I wanted to give the impression he was calling up poweful energies, reflected in the patterns on the cloak and stones. Lazlo, I am not a groupy of yours ... really. Beautiful work. I immediately saw the lighting effects on the gems, stones and cape. It does look as if the figure is pulsating with power.
