Caught in the Act!

I prefer making dioramas and vignettes, as it adds more flavor to the characters. The door, chest, and cabinet are all scratch-built. The walls are from Chooch (a railroad scenery company), and the floor is from Tamiya. The candelabra is a bent nail through some sort of rivet I found, where the nail point becomes the candle. The mirror came from a dollhouse supply store, and the bottles are from an old Grenadier set of miniatures (if I recall correctly). Finally, the cup and saucer on the cabinet is also an old rivet-eye that, when inverted, works well as a cup and saucer. I hope you like it, and thanks to "wabbit" for pointing this site out to me.

If I could get my el-cheapo digital to do any kind of in-focus close-ups, I would happily post some. :-( I am planning on posting some more of my minis and vignettes. I also love sharing ideas with with regards to how to find items to use in dioramas that are not otherwise what they seem to be.

This is a great little scene, and you've shown a lot of creativity in where you got the elements of it. If you post more of these, a composite picture with closeups of one or two of the minis would be cool so we can see more of the painting as well.
