Chainmail Crazed Minotaur Cultist

Hey, I don't name these things ;-) When I saw the studio paint job on him, I thought, what an ugly figure. But he was such a big bruiser, I was going to give him a shot under my brush. Big, ugly, probaly stinking like manure, he was a fun paint. Primed black, then painted with Vallejo mahogany brown as a base flesh color, then with Vallejo dark flesh mixed in for each additional layer to create a nice rich brown skin tone. The bone was painted with a GW bestial brown base, then using Vallejo Cork Brown and Vallejo Buff, with a white highlight gave me a decent bone color for the skulls, horns, and hooves. The metal was easy, as I drybrushed GW tin bitz over the black primer, drybrushed Vallejo oily steel over that, then washed with brown then black ink, with a final drybrush of Vallejo oily steel. His hair was mostly drybrushed, starting with Vallejo dark grey, london grey, medium gray and silvergrey, in that order.

The gloss is a turn off, but good work otherwise. Like the fur and the hooves. Base also v. nice.

Mostly great. The horns are a bit rough, and the whole thing is too glossy. I love the belly on this guy though.
