Alexia from the Witchfire Trilogy

My conversion of Lysette the Sorceress to Alexia, I probably should have stuck her on a round warmachine base. It was a bit of an experiment with white ink and freehand work too. Enjoy.

Nice freehand work, and I really like the color scheme. The glowing runes on the sword look cool.

Sweet! I did that exact conversion. It's in my gallery. You've done a nicer job here. I think I"m going to re-do the sword on mine to match yours. Very cool! You might want to check out my fater Dumas conversion as well.

Ah the glowing runes, glad you all like em. Basic trick to them is getting a good contrast. So the sword is black and the runes go all the way to white. I first painted the sword a dark green this was overpainted with thinned black around the rune area. I then overpainted the rune area with a lighter green then a very bright green and finally wihite just on the runes. I also added a bit of the green colour around the sword (on the pomel and on the shoulder part of her top) to show the effect of the glow.
