Cat Woman

Concept: My first entry is a converted Excaliber mini. In New Zealand we don't have a great range of minis available - GW has been around for years - Reaper only came to my local gaming store in the last 18 months due to me bugging them and then this week they have brought in 10 Confrontaiton minis - that's it - nothing else exists. Then one day in a shop further in the city - I saw a single mini hanging on the wall - battered packaging and a fairly descent price - so I bought it. She stands a bit over a normal 28mm mini - I am thinking she may be like 35mm or so. When my husband saw her - we had just watched the CSI episode about the furries and plushies convention - so he joked I should do her in an anime manga style or as a furry. We laughed - but she ended up like one anyway. I did however manage to avoid the typical teal or pink hair of manga style characters. Her only conversions are the addition of ears and a tail. Her present tail is not my favorite but her nice bushy tail I had made got broken and so she has a more streamlined jaguar tail to go with her spots. Execusion: The paint job is a combination of my new Reaper Pro paints (only arrived in my LGS 2 weeks ago) and Citidel paints, and a few inks. Her skin is a mix of Dwarven Flesh, Graveyeard Earth, Snakebite Leather, Bestial Brown, Walnut (RPP) and Bleached Bone. It is more yellow in the pic than IRL. She was then given a wash of thinned Walnut and highlighted. Her hair and boots are Walnut base and highlighted through Bestial Brown and Graveyard Earth even though you can't see much. The red clothes and gloves/greeves are Dark Flesh with Red and Black ink washes - then highlighted with increasing amounts of Lichen White (RPP) in the mix. The gold is Shining Gold over Snakebite Leather. The green on the base is Elven Green (RPP) highlighted with Goblin Green and Rotting Flesh. The axe head and rocks are Slate (RPP) and Codex Gray with Black and Lichen White to shade and highlight.
